Draft-text of the Law on Crypto Protection in the Republic of Macedonia

According to the obligations stemming from the Annual National Program for the preparations of the Republic of Macedonia for membership to NATO, representatives of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information actively participate in the inter-ministerial working group established to prepare the draft-text of the law on crypto protection in the Republic of Macedonia, which has not yet been sent in governmental procedure because of the additional discussions and harmonization of the positions of the institutions involved. The working group is headed by the director of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information.

Electronic log book keeping

In cooperation with “Macedonian Business Systems” – Skopje and the State Archive of the Republic of Macedonia, software for electronic log book keeping of classified information was created in 2007.

Subject: Improving the implementation and the application of the Law on Free Access to Public Information, the Law on Classified Information and the Law on Protection of Personal Data


Round Tables on “Improving the implementation and the application of the Law on Free Access to Public Information, the Law on Classified Information and the Law on Protection of Personal Data” were held on May 30, June 10 and 11, 2007.

The aim of the meetings was to have expert discussions on the implementation of these three laws by the central government, the banking sector, the media and the telecommunication sector

EAPC Security Forum

Ohrid, June 28-29, 2007

 

The Directorate for Security of Classified Information (DSCI) participated in the preparations and the realization of the EAPC Security Forum that was held in Ohrid, on 28 and 29 June 2007.

During the preparations for the Forum in duration of a couple of months, the DSCI, through its representatives at the Secretariat for the organization of the event, has introduced more closely all the participants to the NATO Security Policy concerning the administrative and the personnel security of classified information.

Regional Conference of the National Security Authorities

Ohrid, April 24-25, 2007

 

Within its international activities and promotion of the cooperation with its counterparts from the other countries, the Directorate for Security of Classified Information of the Republic of Macedonia hosted the Regional Conference of the National Security Authorities that was held in Ohrid, on 24-25 April 2007.

Along with the representatives of the NATO Office of Security, military representatives of the NATO Advisory Team, representatives of the diplomatic core and guests from relevant institutions of the Republic of Macedonia, delegations led by the heads of the National Security Authorities also participated in the conference from the NATO member countries
